Mindful Connections™ for Wellness – Online

Discover a more mindful and connected life with Awaken Pittsburgh’s Mindful Connections for Wellness program. This unique course offers an invaluable opportunity to integrate mindfulness and meditation into your daily routine. Through expert guidance, you’ll acquire practical skills to remain focused and grounded, enhancing your personal well-being and enriching your interactions with others.

Join us for an enlightening journey where you will:

  • Master strategies to manage everyday stress
  • Build resilience to face life’s challenges
  • Cultivate deeper compassion and empathy
  • Establish and maintain a consistent mindfulness practice

The course includes the following topics:

  • Basic introduction to mindfulness
  • The research that supports mindfulness
  • Dealing with difficult emotions and events
  • Understanding and improving relationships
  • Mindful communication
  • Conflict resolution
  • Forgiveness and gratitude

DATES: 9 Mondays, 6:30-8:00 PM via Zoom online video conferencing:

April 20-June 22 (no class on Memorial Day)

This course includes an optional half-day of in-person practice together, date TBD.

COST: The price for this program is $250, however, we offer a range price levels to make our programming accessible to all. Please choose the one that you are able to afford. We rely on donations to subsidize those who may not otherwise be able to afford the course.

Awaken Pittsburgh currently offers programs to people who are reentering the community after a period of incarceration. As such, we welcome those who work with this population to attend this training free of charge, in partnership for this work.

REQUIRED Workbook: This class requires that you purchase The Mindfulness-Based Emotional Balance Workbook: An Eight-Week Program for Improved Emotion Regulation and Resilience (Cullen & Brito Pons). It can be purchased for Kindle or paperback hereOr other e-versions of the workbook can be purchased hereWe will read this book throughout the course together.
